Job Details Job Location: Houston, TX 77070 The Inside Sales Representative supports customers, contractors, municipalities, and field technicians by providing technical product guidance, preparing quotes, processing orders, and coordinating service needs for wastewater pumping systems. This role requires strong communication skills, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to manage a high volume of inquiries in a fast‑paced industrial environment. Customer Support & Sales Operations Respond to inbound calls, emails, and online inquiries from customers seeking pump parts, lift station components, and service support. Prepare accurate quotes, proposals, and pricing for pumps, motors, control panels, valves, and repair parts. Qualify customer needs and recommend appropriate equipment based on application, flow requirements, and system conditions. Maintain strong relationships with contractors, municipalities, engineers, and industrial clients. Follow up on open quotes and convert opportunities into sales. Coordinate with field service teams to schedule repairs, start‑ups, and emergency service calls. Enter sales orders, track shipments, and communicate lead times. Technical & Product Support Interpret pump curves, GPM/TDH requirements, and system specifications. Assist customers with identifying replacement parts such as seals, impellers, bearings, motors, floats, and control components. Review drawings, submittals, and equipment documentation to ensure accuracy. Provide troubleshooting support for basic pump and lift station issues. Work with engineering or service teams on complex technical questions. Administrative & Internal Coordination Maintain accurate CRM and ERP records for quotes, orders, and customer interactions. Collaborate with purchasing and inventory teams to verify stock availability and special‑order items. Support outside sales representatives with documentation, pricing, and customer follow‑ups. Assist with warranty claims, RMA processing, and vendor communication. Qualifications High school diploma or GED required; technical or business degree preferred. 1–3 years of inside sales experience, ideally in industrial equipment, pumps, HVAC, electrical, or wastewater. Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to learn pump systems quickly. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, CRM systems, and ERP order entry.
