The Farmers Insurance Protégé Producer Program is designed for motivated individuals who want to develop their sales, leadership, and business management skills while working alongside an established Farmers Insurance Agency Owner. This opportunity provides hands-on experience in building an insurance business with the long-term goal of preparing you to pursue agency ownership with Farmers Insurance.

As a Protégé Producer, you will work directly with an experienced agency, develop your own pipeline of customers, strengthen your insurance sales skills, and learn the day-to-day strategies behind building and growing a successful insurance agency.

Responsibilities

What You'll Do

Generate new business through prospecting, referrals, networking, lead follow-up, and community involvement.

Consult with prospective and existing customers to understand their insurance needs and recommend appropriate coverage solutions.

Quote and sell Auto, Home, Life, Business, and other available insurance products.

Develop and manage a consistent pipeline of prospective customers.

Conduct professional follow-up to convert opportunities into new business.

Build long-term customer relationships and identify additional coverage opportunities.

Participate in agency marketing and customer acquisition initiatives.

Work toward established sales, activity, and production goals.

Learn agency operations, customer retention, marketing, sales management, and business development.

Participate in Farmers training, coaching, and professional development opportunities.

Develop the skills and experience necessary to potentially pursue future Farmers Insurance agency ownership.

Requirements

What We're Looking For

We are looking for someone who is competitive, coachable, entrepreneurial, and motivated by the opportunity to build something of their own.

Preferred Qualifications:

Previous insurance industry experience preferred.

Property Casualty and/or Life Health insurance licensing preferred.

Previous sales, business development, customer service, or relationship management experience.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Comfortable prospecting, networking, and developing new customer relationships.

Goal-oriented with the ability to work toward measurable sales objectives.

Self-motivated and able to manage time and priorities effectively.

Willingness to learn both the sales and business-management sides of an insurance agency.

Entrepreneurial mindset with an interest in future business ownership.

Compensation

This position offers hourly compensation plus commission, providing income stability while rewarding individual sales performance and business development.

Additional earning opportunities may be available based on production and agency performance.
