Senior Systems Administrator

Job Description

We are seeking a senior-level Systems Administrator / Solutions Architect to support complex M&A-driven infrastructure and application separation efforts. This role requires a true hands-on operator who can work independently, navigate ambiguity, and bridge technical execution with business communication. The ideal candidate has deep experience across system administration, cloud infrastructure, and application migration in Azure and AWS environments.

Skills and Requirements

• Lead application and infrastructure separation activities following M&A events

• Discover, assess, and reverse engineer existing applications and systems—often undocumented

• Migrate applications and servers out of shared Azure environments into dedicated tenants

• Stand up and configure infrastructure within a new WSP tenant

• Perform server administration tasks, including provisioning, configuration, and application installation

• Support database administration as needed to enable application migrations

• Execute cloud migrations across Azure and AWS environments

• Manage application source control transitions (Azure DevOps to GitHub)

• Partner with business stakeholders to explain technical dependencies, risks, and timelines in clear, non-technical terms

• Operate independently end-to-end: problem solving, execution, and delivery

Technical Skills & Experience

• Strong system administration background with infrastructure ownership

• Hands-on cloud experience:

o Microsoft Azure (primary)

o AWS (supporting)

• Experience with:

o Application discovery and migration

o Tenant separation and integrations

o Hybrid architecture environments

• Working knowledge of:

o Python

o .NET (applications are primarily .NET-based; deep development not required, but strong understanding of development practices needed)

• Experience managing or supporting:

o Server administration

o Database administration

o SaaS rationalization efforts

• Familiarity with CI/CD and source control tooling, including Azure DevOps and GitHub
