Computed Tomography (CT) Technologist

Job Description

The Computed Tomography (CT) Technologist, under the direction of the Medical Director, Clinical Specialist, Manager, and Radiologist, performs technical procedures and assists in the clinical evaluation and care of patients in a dynamic Level I Trauma and Academic Medical Center environment. This role is essential in creating diagnostic images while ensuring patient safety and comfort. Technologists support ongoing education and adapt to technological advancements while performing CT scans for various patient demographics, including trauma cases, intensive care, research patients, and specialized procedures.

Schedule

Monday - Thursday, 12 PM - 10:30 PM with no on-call responsibilities (Four 10-hour shifts).

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Education: Graduate of an approved two-year AMA Radiologic Technology School and high school graduate.
• Licensure: New York State Registration in Diagnostic Radiography or a limited permit to practice in New York.
• Certification: Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
• Current BLS for Healthcare Provider, CPR, or CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer certification.
• Experience: Entry level; skill level will be assigned based on experience.
