Thermo Fisher Scientific seeks a Procurement/Sourcing Specialist III to manage direct material procurement and drive sourcing, supplier performance, and cost productivity initiatives within a manufacturing environment. The role requires 8+ years of procurement experience, SAP proficiency, and the ability to work independently while collaborating across global teams.

Responsibilities

Identify and drive cost-saving, productivity, and supply assurance opportunities with measurable results
Develop and execute sourcing and supplier strategies to improve cost, continuity, and performance
Negotiate competitive pricing, terms, and lead times with suppliers
Manage day-to-day direct material procurement including purchase orders and supplier follow-up
Partner with cross-functional teams including Material Planning, Finance, and Operations on projects

Requirements

Bachelor's degree plus 8+ years procurement/supply chain experience in manufacturing
Direct materials, supplier, and purchasing management experience
ERP systems knowledge; SAP experience strongly preferred
Understanding of manufacturing operations, BOMs, inventory, and material planning
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
Ability to manage multiple priorities independently in fast-paced environment
Strong communication and collaboration across functions and geographies

Compensation: $69,800.00–$93,000.00 base
