Employment Type: Full-Time, Non-Exempt
Schedule: MondayFriday, 40 hours per week (occasional overtime as needed)

Position Summary
REMA TIP TOP is seeking a detail-oriented and technically skilled Quality Assurance (QA) Lab Technician to join our Research & Development team in Madison, Georgia.
This position plays a critical role in ensuring the quality and consistency of our products by performing laboratory testing on incoming raw materials, rubber compounds, adhesives, cements, lubricants, and finished products. The QA Lab Technician will analyze test results, maintain laboratory records, generate Certificates of Analysis (COAs), and support continuous improvement efforts within the quality system.
The ideal candidate will have experience working in a laboratory environment, strong attention to detail, and a passion for quality and process improvement.
Key Responsibilities
Rubber Testing
Perform testing and analysis using laboratory equipment, including:
- Rheometer
- Mooney Viscometer
- Tensile Tester (Tensometer)
- Lab Mill
- Elastest Equipment
- Rubber breakdown testing
- Compound release and rejection evaluations
- Physical property testing as required
Cement & Adhesive Testing
Perform testing on cements and adhesives, including:
- Brookfield viscosity testing
- Percent solids analysis
- Pot life testing
- Cure rate evaluations
- Rubber-to-rubber adhesion testing
- Rubber-to-metal adhesion testing
- Product release and formulation adjustments as needed
Paste, Tire Paint & Lubricant Testing
Perform quality testing including:
- pH analysis
- Brookfield viscosity testing
- Product release evaluations
- Process adjustments when required
Quality Control & Documentation
- Test and approve incoming raw materials
- Generate Certificates of Analysis (COAs)
- Accurately record and maintain laboratory data
- Maintain retain sample inventory and storage areas
- Follow established laboratory work instructions and procedures
- Provide feedback for process and work instruction improvements
- Support ISO and quality system compliance initiatives
Laboratory Maintenance
- Clean and maintain laboratory instruments and equipment
- Maintain an organized, safe, and efficient work environment
- Follow all company safety procedures and laboratory protocols
Qualifications
Required
- High School Diploma or GED
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
- Basic computer proficiency and recordkeeping skills
- Ability to follow laboratory procedures and safety requirements
Preferred
- Associate degree or coursework in Chemistry, Materials Science, Engineering Technology, or a related field
- 2+ years of laboratory experience
- Experience working in a manufacturing or industrial testing environment
- Experience with rubber, adhesives, polymers, or chemical testing
- Experience operating laboratory testing equipment
