Associate Attorney

Job Overview A law firm seeks an Associate Attorney in Edmond, Oklahoma. This role offers the opportunity to work on substantive legal matters in a dynamic, entrepreneurial environment. The firm focuses on corporate transactions, oil & gas, and estate planning, providing hands-on experience from day one. Duties Draft and negotiate purchase agreements, operating agreements, and commercial contracts. Advise clients on entity formation, corporate governance, and business structure optimization. Assist with oil & gas transactions, title opinions, and curative work. Support M&A due diligence, deal structuring, and transaction logistics. Prepare estate planning documents including wills, trusts, and business succession plans. Conduct sophisticated legal research and draft memoranda. Participate directly in client meetings and relationship management. Contribute to firm business development initiatives. Requirements Licensed to practice law in Oklahoma. 0-2 years of experience, ideally in business or transactional law. Strong academic credentials (top 30% of class preferred). Excellent written and oral communication skills. Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to manage multiple matters and competing deadlines. Self-starter with an entrepreneurial mindset. Education Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school. Certifications Licensed to practice law in Oklahoma. Skills Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in legal research and writing. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
