Travel Respiratory Therapist - Registered RT/RRT

American Traveler is seeking a Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for a night shift position at a Level III trauma teaching hospital, requiring 2+ years of experience and comfort working with both adult and pediatric ICU patients.

Job Details

• Respiratory Therapy department at a short-term acute care, Level III Trauma Center teaching hospital,
• 733 staffed beds,
• Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (18:00-06:00),
• Weekend requirement every other weekend,
• Floating required within hospital or affiliated campuses as needed,
• No on-call requirement,
• Uses Epic charting system,

Job Requirements

• Active state or Compact RRT license required at submission - license required if applicable,
• Minimum 2 years of applicable experience required,
• Must be comfortable working with both adult and pediatric patients in ICU settings,
• EPIC charting experience required,
• No background or license actions within the past 12 months,
• SSN and date of birth required at submission,
• Must pass Advanced EKG exam as part of compliance,

Additional Information

• Provide respiratory therapy and neuro diagnostics services to adult and pediatric ICU patients,
• Teaching hospital environment with Level III trauma designation,
• Scrub color requirement: solid black or black and white,
• Candidates must complete pre-start modules estimated at 4-10 hours,
• Local candidates residing within 50 miles of the main campus are not eligible,
• Maximum of 4 days RTO permitted, with no holiday RTO accepted for this position,
• Former employees must be separated from the facility for at least one year before returning as a traveler,
• Day shift travelers may extend once (maximum two contracts total); night shift travelers may extend twice (maximum three contracts total),
• After reaching maximum extensions, a 6-month waiting period applies before reapplying,
• Call-off policy allows 2 shifts per 13-week assignment before affecting guaranteed hours
