Registered Respiratory Therapist

Full-Time Registered Respiratory Therapist position in Millersburg, Ohio, delivering comprehensive respiratory care to patients of all ages under physician direction. The role supports a collaborative clinical team in a patient-focused hospital environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide respiratory therapy treatments and interventions as ordered by physicians or approved practitioners
• Assess, treat, and monitor patients with cardiopulmonary disorders
• Respond to emergency situations and participate in emergency drills
• Operate and maintain respiratory care equipment safely and effectively
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Educate patients and families on respiratory conditions, treatments, and discharge instructions
• Support and involve primary support persons or family members in patient care when appropriate
• Ensure respiratory care services align with hospital policies and procedures
• Demonstrate professionalism, clinical competency, and commitment to organizational values

Qualifications:

• Completion of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program
• Active Respiratory Therapist License in the State of Ohio
• National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) Certification
• Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) Certifications
• S.T.A.B.L.E. Certification

Preferred Skills:

• 13 years of respiratory therapy experience in a clinical or hospital setting
