Cath Lab Registered Nurse (RN)

The Cath Lab Registered Nurse provides specialized nursing care in the catheterization laboratory, responsible for circulating and monitoring cases, as well as procedural sedation. This role involves collaborating closely with the clinical team to ensure patient safety and effective treatment outcomes.

Circulate and monitor cardiac catheterization cases.

Administer procedural sedation and perform sedation testing prior to case arrival.

Collaborate with the clinical team to ensure high-quality patient care.

Handle a variety of cases, including STEMI, structural heart interventions (Mitraclip, TAVR, Watchman), PFO, ASD, PCI, IABP insertion, Impella procedure, and ECMO cannulation.

Participate in weekend buddy call and orientation for new staff.

Active Washington State License or Compact License.

Experience with EPIC electronic medical records system.

Current BLS and ACLS certifications.

Minimum of 1 year of experience in a Cath Lab or similar environment with a focus on Structural Heart cases.

Travel experience is preferred but not required.

This position requires a commitment to work 4 ten-hour shifts per week, primarily Monday through Friday, with call responsibilities including weeknights and weekends. The schedule will be assigned by leadership, with no self-scheduling available.

Approximately one weeknight call per week.

Approximately 1-2 weekend call responsibilities within a 6-week schedule.

Call response time is expected to be within 30 minutes.

Hospital-specific scrubs will be provided daily upon arrival. The orientation for this role includes one week of training, including a general hospital orientation and on-unit instruction. Floating to other departments may be arranged based on skills and experience levels.

This position is located in a fast-paced, acute care setting, specifically within the catheterization lab, which features two suites and handles an average of 8-10 cases per day.
