Job Summary The Vocational Rehabilitation Specialist will support individuals with disabilities in direct labor positions at ServiceSource. They compose and/or review documentation related to the supports they provide to the individual. Primary Duties Ensure that the vocational and non‑vocational needs of assigned individuals are met. Complete required documentation, such as Person‑Centered Plans and Individual Eligibility Evaluations, accurately and on time. Maintain familiarity with Medicaid, HCBS, CARF, AbilityOne, and other entities to ensure compliance. This includes maintaining case records in accordance with CARF standards, Medicaid regulations, AbilityOne regulations, other funding source regulations, and internal policies. Reconcile biweekly and monthly attendance reports. Additional Responsibilities Provide training to and coordinate with operational personnel to ensure the proper implementation of vocational supports. Write, review, and revise support plans to ensure the Person‑Centered Plan remains current and appropriate. Coordinate services with local case management agencies to facilitate comprehensive program services. Maintain familiarity with behavior management techniques. Conduct quality assurance checks on data and attendance records to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulations, funding requirements, and internal policies. Maintain up‑to‑date participant information as required for case files and funding sources. Coordinate assessments for assigned individuals and new referrals. Perform other responsibilities as assigned. Qualifications One year of experience working with individuals with disabilities is required. A bachelor’s degree in a related field is preferred. A valid driver’s license and/or access to reliable transportation for work‑related travel is required. Eligible drivers must have a good motor vehicle record (MVR). Willingness and availability to travel to multiple locations, sometimes on short notice, is required. Willingness and availability to work flexible hours, which may include infrequent weekends and evenings, is required. Experience in writing or supporting Person‑Centered Plan outcomes is preferred. Knowledge of Medicaid Waiver documentation is preferred. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities A well‑organized, self‑directed individual who is a team player. Ability to communicate effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization. Ability to solve practical problems and handle a variety of concrete variables in situations with limited standardization. Ability to interpret various instructions provided in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. Proficient in using Microsoft Office software. Work Environment The work environment characteristics described here represent those an employee may encounter while performing the essential functions of this job. The employee will visit various locations in the community and may occasionally be exposed to outdoor weather conditions. The noise level in the ServiceSource work environment is usually quiet, while noise levels at community locations may range from quiet to moderate or loud.
