About the Role:
Join HLH & CO., Nursery and Design as a Plant Nursery Sales Associate, where your passion for plants and customer service will flourish! In this vibrant role, you will help customers select the perfect plants while contributing to a welcoming and knowledgeable environment.
Responsibilities:
- Assist customers with plant selection and provide expert advice on care and maintenance.
- Maintain the plant nursery by watering, pruning, and organizing plants for optimal display.
- Process sales transactions efficiently and accurately using the point-of-sale system.
- Educate customers on product features, benefits, and best practices for plant care.
- Collaborate with team members to create visually appealing displays and promotions.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist with restocking as needed.
- Provide exceptional customer service to ensure a positive shopping experience.
- Stay informed about new products and industry trends to better assist customers.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in retail sales, preferably in a nursery or garden center.
- Strong knowledge of plants, horticulture, and landscape design.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
- Basic math skills for processing transactions and managing inventory.
- Physical ability to lift and move plants and supplies as needed.
- Passion for gardening and a commitment to providing outstanding customer service.
- Availability to work weekends and holidays as required.
