To excel in this position, a technical degree in construction, civil engineering, architecture, or a related field is required. You must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in design, construction, and/or commissioning of large, complex MEP-intensive projects, along with prior experience in leading construction documentation and contract administration. Your responsibilities will include: Champion the planning, development, and execution of Ryan's quality program specifically for data centers. Oversee and manage the daily quality control tasks for various projects to ensure construction aligns with established contract documents. Lead and mentor project team members in quality-related activities. Take charge of the oversight and review of all documentation and physical inspections throughout the project lifecycle, collaborating with Project Managers, Superintendents, and external stakeholders to achieve quality outcomes. Review shop drawings and submittals for compliance with project specifications, utilizing the collective expertise of your project team as needed. Engage in preparatory meetings to align on the desired standards of care for each scope of work. Facilitate pre-installation meetings with subcontractors, project team members, and stakeholders to address quality-related concerns before commencing new project phases. Create clarity on quality management requirements for all team members, trade partners, and stakeholders for each work scope. Establish quality management expectations, including the scheduling of field inspections, testing needs, and documentation protocols for each scope of work. Ensure all project materials meet approved submittals, are handled properly, and are suitable for use. Assign and manage quality control tasks within the team and conduct necessary inspections. Maintain, track, log, and audit all quality control activities, tests, inspections, and supporting documentation throughout the project. Guide the project team in effective implementation of corrective actions for any quality issues or non-conformances. Conduct Root Cause Analysis to identify and resolve quality issues. Document and lead weekly quality control meetings with superintendents, distributing written minutes as outlined in contract documentation. Conduct quality walk-throughs with clients, design teams, and other quality representatives as needed. Provide weekly quality control reports that highlight construction compliance with project standards and address any non-conformity promptly. Assist the project team during punch list and turnover processes. Have the authority to halt work when necessary to address safety and quality concerns or scenarios that impede work progress. Capture and disseminate lessons learned to enhance team knowledge and performance. Travel as required, especially if not based locally to the project site. You will stand out if you possess: Familiarity with quality systems such as Malcolm Baldridge, ISO 9000, Lean, Kaizen, or Army Corps of Engineers principles.
