Job Summary The Pharmacy Fill Technician accurately prepares prescriptions, including picking, labeling, scanning, and final preparation for pharmacist verification. The role also involves maintaining an organized workspace and ensuring compliance with all regulations. Schedule 7:00am – 3:30pm with rotating weekends Duties / Responsibilities Pull/pick medications from shelving and other medication storage areas (pre‑pack racks) Perform accuracy checks of final preparation before presenting to the pharmacist Fill daily drug orders accurately, efficiently, and in a timely and prioritized manner under pharmacist supervision Assist in processing returned drugs and recycle/dispose per procedure Assist in pre‑packing frequently ordered medications; label and stock as needed during low‑volume times Package materials and products manually Follow all applicable government regulations, including HIPAA Maintain clean and organized workstation areas and replenish all stock supplies needed each shift Alert the pharmacist on duty of any medication or product that is not scanning properly Comply with departmental policies regarding safety, attendance, and dress code Overtime, holidays, and weekends may be required and/or expected Perform other duties as assigned; job duties may vary depending on business needs Qualifications / Competencies Required Skills / Abilities Knowledge of brand name and generic medications Able to read, write, speak, and understand English Able to work at a moderate speed Able to work during inclement weather Reliable Detail‑focused with analytical problem‑solving skills Able to physically perform light lifting Must be able to work various shifts and days Education and Experience High School diploma or equivalent required Pharmacy technician licenses/certifications required by state regulations and state of practice Previous pharmacy experience preferred (one or more years of long‑term care experience preferred) Physical Demands The role requires sitting or standing for seven to ten hours per day, occasional sit‑to‑stand movements, climbing or balancing, stooping, kneeling, bending, walking, and lifting or moving up to 30 pounds. Extended hours may be needed as required. Holiday & PTO Policy Paid holidays are provided annually with six days offered each year, and five sick days.
