- Must have recent and comprehensive experience
Description:
This role is within an operating room setting.
The facility is licensed for 457 beds and is a level 3 trauma center.
The unit specialty includes various surgery types: Trauma, orthopedic trauma, orthopedic total joints, spine, cardiovascular, GYN, GYN-Oncology, robotics, general surgery, bariatrics, urology, ENT, eyes, pain management, and plastics.
Average case load is approximately 50 cases per day.
Candidates must possess the ability to scrub in on multiple case types.
Experience must include trauma, orthopedic trauma, and spinal surgeries, including ALIFs, TLIFs, and ACDFs.
Proficiency in sterile technique is required.
Support within the department includes clinical supervisors, charge nurses, educators, and tech engineers.
Technology used in the department includes an electronic medical record system and various surgical equipment.
No floating to other departments is required.
Weekend rotation is every fourth weekend, with scheduled shifts typically from 7am to 7pm.
Call requirements average 6 call shifts per 6-week schedule, with a 45-minute response time.
Travelers will work 75% of holidays.
Request time off requires manager approval.
Scrub color is provided.
Department culture emphasizes collaboration and teamwork.
