Step into an engaging educational environment supporting students’ growth and learning as a contracted paraprofessional in a dynamic high school setting near West Hartford, CT. This full-time role runs from early November 2026 through mid-June 2027 and follows the school’s onsite hours, offering hands-on, meaningful work as part of a collaborative educational team.

Your responsibilities will include providing academic, behavioral, and social-emotional support to students, working closely with teachers and specialized staff to ensure every learner has the opportunity to excel. You'll play a vital role in the daily life of the classroom, adapting to varied student needs and nurturing a positive, inclusive atmosphere for all.

Preferred Qualifications & Skills:

• Demonstrated paraprofessional experience in school settings
• Completion of all state-mandated training requirements
• Ability to clear a comprehensive background check and fingerprinting process
• Strong interpersonal skills and genuine passion for supporting students
• Flexibility, patience, and a proactive approach to classroom challenges

What You’ll Do:

• Support students with individualized academic or behavioral goals under teacher supervision
• Assist in implementing instructional activities and accommodations
• Foster a safe, respectful, and motivating classroom climate
• Aid with supervision during classroom and non-classroom transitions
• Communicate clearly with students, staff, and families as appropriate
