Technical Writer

Supporting communications initiatives for the Veterans Health Administration's Electronic Health Record Modernization program, the full-time Technical Writer will develop and maintain healthcare policy documentation, translate complex content for executive audiences, and ensure high-quality deliverables while collaborating with various stakeholders. Key responsibilities Develop, edit, and maintain federal healthcare policy documentation in alignment with VHA directive formats and federal writing standards Translate complex workforce analysis and informatics modernization content into clear materials for executive leadership Manage document version control and coordinate updates to maintain alignment with evolving program requirements Required qualifications Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, Political Science, Public Health, or related field Minimum of 8 years of professional experience in strategic communications or healthcare communications Experience supporting complex federal government initiatives, preferably within the Department of Veterans Affairs Familiarity with AP Style, Section 508 compliance, and federal plain language requirements Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance
