Permanent - Registered Nurse - Senior Behavioral Health

Overnight / Weekend Program

$15,000 Night Shift sign on bonus - paid out within 30 days of start! (Requires a two year agreement)

Full Time .9 FTE; three 12 hours shifts per weekend


JOB DESCRIPTION

• The Senior Behavioral Health Registered Nurse provides individualized psychiatric nursing care in a professional, competent, efficient, safe, compassionate, and caring manner.
• The RN assesses the patients' needs, plans, implements, and evaluates the delivery of patient care.
• This position carries out these responsibilities independently with the guidance of accepted nursing and department practice as well as directed by medical staff.
• This position provides the knowledge and skills to meet physician, patient, staff, and/or WRMC needs and performs in accordance with WRMC standards and policies.
• The Registered Nurse directs the nursing care activities of paraprofessionals or other nursing team members and provides nursing leadership.
• The RN is responsible for assuring patient safety at all times and facilitates effective communication with patients, support personnel and member of the healthcare team.
• This position provides direct patient care to patients using the nursing process in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice.Overnight / Weekend Program

QUALIFICATIONS

• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
• National Institutes of Health (NIH)
• Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
• Active unencumbered RN Wisconsin state license
• Graduate from a fully accredited RN program
• One year of work experience as a RN Behavioral Health
• One year of Athena Health experience
• Board Certified

• Maintains and updates clinical knowledge and skills.
• Participates in relevant continuing education programs.
• Knowledge of and dedication to the highest patient care and provide the utmost service excellence to all patients.
• Ability to take initiative and to exercise independent judgment, decision-making and problem-solving expertise.
• A can-do, team oriented attitude is essential, as the ability to work independently and to interact easily with physicians, other managers and staff throughout the department and hospital.
• Effective interpersonal/communication, organizational, and the flexibility to handle multiple tasks.
