Our client is a manufacturer of specialized mid-range capacity commercial ice machines for industrial applications. They are currently looking to hire an experienced and qualified Sheet Metal Fabricator.
Job Description:
This position performs a variety of operations to include but not be limited to: the forming, cutting, bending of stainless steel sheet metal to form fabricated assembly units correctly, safely and efficiently, along with other production/warehouse duties necessary in the production process.
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
- CNC Punch Press experience required.
- Experience with metal shear and knowledge of Press Brake required.
- CAD program for custom parts.
- Shears, forms, handles, bends stainless steel sheet metal during the fabrication process.
- Operates shears, plasma machines, press brakes and other various hand tools.
- Fabricates or alters parts at on an as-needed basis.
- Reviews blueprints and specifications to determine work sequence and effective, safe procedures.
- Inspects equipment, structures, and materials to identify the cause of errors, safety hazards, or other issues, and solutions or escalates them appropriately.
- Blueprint reading and able to build off of the blue prints
- Must know how to use a tape measure.
- Familiar with addition, subtraction, conversion of fractions and decimals
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes, fabrication & general shop processes
- Forklift experience a plus.
- Above average salary will be considered for qualified, exceptional candidates.
Full time position, Monday through Friday 8 am – 4:30 pm with breaks and lunch.
