Pediatric Orthopedic Surgery Opportunity Opening in Downey, California Sign On Bonus: $25,000 Kaiser Permanente - Southern California Permanente Medical Group (SCPMG) is seeking a full-time Pediatric Orthopedist to join our close-knit team of 21 surgeons, 19 PAs, and over 100 support staff in Downey, CA. Position Highlights: Provides elective orthopedic pediatric coverage for this region of Southern California, including management of hip dysplasia, patella instability, and scoliosis (approximately 30-40 operative cases per year, with significantly more patients evaluated and managed nonoperatively). The current pediatric surgeon is transitioning to part time, including general orthopedics and will help onboard and mentor the new hire over the next few years. The expectation is that the incoming pediatric orthopedic surgeon will be willing to help with pediatric cases when possible as we all help each other out regularly. Qualifications: Fellowship in Pediatric Orthopedic Surgery (to replace a pediatric orthopedist who is semi-retiring) BC or BE Preferred: Applicants interested in a balanced practice between OR and office Why Choose SCPMG? Potential premium earnings are up to $80,136.00. Salaries are inclusive of incentives depending on skills and competencies and geographic location. Potential premium earnings are based on location. Annual Salary is determined by longevity with the Group and full time equivalent (FTE) work schedule/effort.
