Pool ServerThe Post Oak Hotel is seeking a Pool Server to join the only Forbes Five-Star Hotel in Texas. The Pool Server will be responsible for providing the highest quality of service to guests in an attentive, courteous and efficient manner. The Pool Server is expected to provide timely service with guest satisfaction as the primary goal.Responsibilities include:Greeting guests and welcoming them in a friendly mannerTaking drink orders and following policy regarding service of alcoholKnowing the menu and being able to explain menu items, ingredients, and preparation methods to guestsCoordinating with the kitchen staff to ensure all orders are prepared and delivered on time and togetherServing food and beverages promptly and efficiently, ensuring accuracy and good presentation, and timed so the entire table is served within a reasonable time frameChecking on guests during their meals to ensure satisfaction and address requests/concernsHandling guest complaints or concerns professionally and bringing issues to managementCollaborating with fellow servers, hosts, and kitchen staff to ensure smooth serviceQualifications include:One year of restaurant server or customer service is preferredPrevious Luxury or Forbes experience preferredStrong multitasking and time management abilitiesKnowledge of food and beverage menus, including dietary restrictions and allergiesExcellent communication skillsBasic math skills for handling payments and calculating tipsAbility to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends and holidays is requiredPhysical demands: Ability to lift 25 pounds on a regular basis and prolonged extended periods of standing outdoors with high temperature weather and humidityWhat we offer you:Multiple benefit plans to suit your needsPaid Time Off401KOpportunities for advancementPositive and respectful work environment where diversity is valuedGenerous employee discounts on dining, retail, amusements, and hotelsComplimentary parking and colleague meal
