Job Title: Labor Technician
Job Description
The Labor Technician installs pallet rack systems in warehouse environments, supports construction and rack assembly activities, and assists with safe and efficient setup of storage infrastructure. This role involves working at heights, using hand tools and measuring equipment, and contributing to warehouse installation projects across multiple locations.
Responsibilities

• Install pallet rack systems in warehouses according to layout plans and safety standards.
• Assemble and stack rack components using appropriate tools and hardware.
• Measure and mark installation locations using a tape measure to ensure accurate placement of racks.
• Work at heights to install and secure upper rack levels safely and efficiently.
• Operate or assist with the operation of scissor lifts and forklifts when qualified and authorized.
• Follow construction and installation instructions from supervisors and project leads.
• Use and maintain required personal protective equipment, including hard hat, high-visibility clothing, steel-toe footwear, and tool pouch.
• Inspect installed racks for stability, alignment, and compliance with project specifications.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area during and after installation activities.
• Support team members with lifting, positioning, and securing materials and equipment.
• Adhere to all safety procedures and report any hazards or incidents promptly.
• Travel to various warehouse sites as needed to support installation projects in different locations.

Essential Skills

• Mechanical aptitude and strong interest in hands-on, mechanically oriented work.
• Experience in construction, rack assembly, or similar installation work.
• Ability to install pallet racks or willingness to learn pallet rack installation.
• Comfort working at heights in a warehouse or construction environment.
• Ability to read and use a tape measure accurately.
• Capability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting and standing for extended periods.
• Commitment to following safety guidelines and using required protective equipment.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience operating a scissor lift is a plus.
• Experience operating a forklift is a plus.
• Prior experience with warehouse installations or industrial construction is beneficial.
• Willingness to be trained on new equipment and installation techniques.
• Ability to travel to projects in multiple states as needed.

Work Environment
This role is based in warehouse and construction environments where pallet rack systems are installed. You will work on-site at various warehouse locations, often in different states, and spend much of the day on your feet performing physical tasks. The position involves working at heights and around industrial equipment such as scissor lifts and forklifts. Standard personal protective equipment is required, including a hard hat, high-visibility clothing, steel-toe footwear, and a tool pouch. You will regularly use tools and measuring devices, such as tape measures, and work in environments that may be noisy and busy, with strict adherence to safety procedures.

This is a Contract position based out of Douglasville, GA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
