Requirements for All Roles

All roles will be expected to comply with the safety policies and procedures designated in our handbook, in amendments to the handbook, or in other policies as communicated by management. Additionally, all employees are required to be certified according to the guidelines and requirements outlined by the relevant State and Federal agencies. Additionally, all employees must have the following requirements for the position:

• Able to lift 30 - 50 pounds.
• Flexible schedule with weekend availability.
• Team player who has the ability to follow instructions.
• Self-starter and can work with and without direct supervision.
• Reliable transportation
• Closed-toe slip resistant shoes
• Valid Food Handler's Certification

Dishwasher

As a Dishwasher, you will be responsible for handling a variety of aspects of the Root Cellar Café kitchen. You will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards for dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, pans, and other utensils used in food and beverage service. Your attention to detail and dedication to cleanliness will directly contribute to the overall success of our restaurant. Dishwashers are expected to carry out the duties for their station based on the general description provided in addition to other related job tasks that may not be listed below:

• Dishwashers will be responsible for sanitizing and stocking dishes.
• Coordinate with others to safely stack dirty dishes on the dish rack.
• Rinse dishes and run them through the dishwasher.
• Coordinate with Kitchen Staff and Expo to stock all stations' dishes and ensure each station does not run out of dishes.
• Responsible for cleaning and resetting your station at the end of each shift
• Assist with general kitchen cleaning tasks, including sweeping and mopping floors, emptying trash bins, and wiping down surfaces.
• Safely manage hot liquids and chemicals
