This includes verifying products against purchase orders, inspecting and accurately processing merchandise and updating inventory systems. As a detail oriented, organized, and efficient Receiving Clerk, you will play a critical role in contributing to smooth operations and inventory accuracy ensuring that our products are received in good condition, properly documented, and promptly stored in the appropriate locations for further processing.A Day in the Life:The typical day is… atypical. You may…Receive and inspect incoming shipments, unloading deliveries, verifying quantities and product details against purchase orders (POs) and packing slipsAssist in the proper storage of goods in designated areas in an organized mannerMaintain receiving logs, error logs, and other assigned logs, and complete daily reportsEnsure all paperwork, including packing slips, bills of lading, and invoices, are reviewed and filed appropriately as neededAccurately document received goods in the warehouse management system (WMS)Identify and report any discrepancies, damages, incorrect or missing items to lead/supervisor/manager and/or relevant partnersPerform basic quality checks and inspect labels for scanability on received items to ensure they meet required specificationsCoordinate with leadership to prioritize and organize incoming shipments based on urgency, ensuring priority shipments are expeditedCommunicate any issues with deliveries or discrepancies promptly to the appropriate departmentCollaborate with other departments (e.g., Transportation) to address and resolve issuesAssist in sorting, labeling, and tagging products as neededMaintain cleanliness and organization in the receiving dock and staging areas; following safety and company guidelinesComplete other duties, as assignedTo Land This Role:High School Diploma or GED1.5+ years of related experience in a distribution environmentExperience utilizing various types of warehouse equipment and systemsExcellent oral and written communication skillsMust have English proficiency (speaking and understanding)Basic math skills are required to understand location quantities, thresholds and capacityStrong organizational and time management skillsStrong attention to detail, analytical, and problem-solving skills for investigating and solutioning issues and/or discrepanciesAbility to establish and maintain professional relationshipsAble to lift items up to 35 lbsAble to actively walk the warehouse floor; and stand for extended periods up to 12 hoursMust be willing to work overtime as needed, including weekends and holidaysWhy You'll Want to Join Our Team:The Distribution Center (DC) Team is an exciting and collaborative group where innovation meets a personal touch.
