About the Role


We are seeking experienced Lead Technicians to join our team in Charleston, SC. This role is ideal for a hands-on low-voltage professional who can lead a field crew while independently performing installation, troubleshooting, and commissioning work.


The Lead Technician will oversee crews of 3+ technicians and serve as a key point of contact in the field, working closely with Project Managers, General Contractors, and other trades to keep projects on schedule and ensure high standards for safety, quality, and workmanship.

What You'll Do

Structured Cabling

• Install, terminate, label, test, and troubleshoot copper and fiber cabling.
  
  
• Perform cable testing and certification.
  
  
• Install and maintain structured cabling systems and cable pathways.
  
  
• Read and interpret blueprints, floor plans, and wiring diagrams.
  
  
• Identify and resolve cabling and connectivity issues in the field.

Access Control

• Install, configure, and troubleshoot access control systems.
  
  
• Install and troubleshoot card readers, door hardware, request-to-exit (REX) devices, and controllers.
  
  
• Diagnose and resolve system issues with minimal supervision.
  
  
• Ensure installations meet project specifications and quality standards.

CCTV

• Install and troubleshoot CCTV cameras and related equipment.
  
  
• Troubleshoot low-voltage equipment and connectivity issues.
  
  
• Identify and resolve installation or system issues in the field.

Field Leadership

• Lead and coordinate a crew of 3+ low-voltage technicians.
  
  
• Train, direct, and support technicians throughout project installation activities.
  
  
• Coordinate daily work with Project Managers, General Contractors, and other trades.
  
  
• Communicate project progress, field issues, and material needs to the Project Manager.
  
  
• Maintain jobsite safety, quality, cleanliness, and productivity.
  
  
• Document completed work, testing results, material usage, and field changes.
  
  
• Identify and resolve field issues independently.
  
  
• Help ensure projects are completed on schedule and according to specifications.

What We're Looking For

• Strong commercial low-voltage experience.
  
  
• Previous Lead Technician or Foreman experience.
  
  
• Hands-on experience with structured cabling, access control, and CCTV .
  
  
• Proven ability to lead a field crew of 3+ technicians.
  
  
• Ability to work independently and troubleshoot issues in the field.
  
  
• Comfortable reading blueprints, floor plans, and wiring diagrams.
  
  
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
  
  
• Commitment to jobsite safety and quality workmanship.
  
  
• Willingness to grow into a Superintendent Technician role.
