Join Our Dynamic Cardiac Telemetry Team Job Description: - Unit Overview: - 23 beds with 1 treatment room - Committed team of 58 staff - Staffing Details: - Day Shift: - CNC/Charge Nurse - 6 RNs - 2 PCTs - 1 MT - 1 Department Coordinator until 7 PM - Night Shift: - CNC/Charge Nurse - 5 RNs - 2 PCTs - 1 MT - Patient Ratios: - Days/Eves: RNs (1:4) - Nights: RNs (1:5) - Equipment Utilized: - Telemetry monitoring (some rooms hard-wired) - Vein finder for IV therapy - Portable and continuous pulse oximetry - Manual/automatic vital sign machines - Blood glucose monitoring - Mechanical lifts, dopplers, etc. - EMR System: - Allscripts, with medication scanning capabilities and soft-lab integration - Patient Population: - Cardiac Medical patients: Hemodynamically stable MI, acute/chronic heart failure, new onset Afib (with/without RVR), stable dysrhythmias, procedural patients (cardiac caths, ablations, cardioversions, ICDs, pacers) - Patients requiring cardiac gtt (Amiodarone, Diltiazem, Dobutamine, Milrinone, Lasix, insulin drips) - ICU transfers, neuro patients (CVA), pulmonary patients needing BiPAP, Hi-flow, and Salter - Qualifications Needed: - Must Have: - Cardiac Telemetry knowledge - ACLS certification - Experience with cardiac medical and procedural patients (caths), and cardiac drips - Preferred: - Strong Medical-Surgical background with telemetry experience - Typical Procedures: - Cardiac caths (Left/Right, femoral/radial approach) without intervention - Pacers, ablations, cardioversions, EP studies - Administration of cardiac drips (Amiodarone, Diltiazem, renal dose Dopamine, Dobutamine, Milrinone, Lasix, insulin drips) - Ideal Candidate: - Engaging, team-oriented, flexible/adaptable, and patient-centered - Floating Areas: - Floating within alike areas - Dress Code: - Hospital scrubs - Weekends & On-Call: - Every other weekend required - Experience Requirement: - Minimum 2 years' experience Why Catalytic Solutions (CatSol): At CatSol, we connect dedicated therapists with rewarding assignments across the country.
