We are passionate about what we do, and are looking for high-voltage, high-ampere individuals to join our team!Job DescriptionThe Quality Engineer will, under the general direction of the Quality Manager, have the vital responsibility of handling day-to-day product and process quality assurance support. Working with the metrology lab team, including performing analyses, preparing samples, and taking the initiative to identify anomalies and propose useful analyses and corrective actions. This position will support all processes through technical and administrative support to ensure the highest quality of products manufactured across the entire facility.This position offers the opportunity to work with an exceptional range of instruments and manufacturing processes to develop in-depth knowledge of continuous improvement activities, as well as experience in the booming industry of lithium-ion battery production.RESPONSIBILITIESCollaborate with other engineers, technicians, and staff to review product design, manufacturing processes, and test documentation; ensure that the customer program or contract quality requirements are understood and metCollaborate with clients, customers, and other stakeholders to identify and resolve problems with products or services providedSupport for preparation and performing analyses for critical to quality tests and manufacturing process validation using metrological and analytical instruments for in-process and receiving inspection activities for raw materials and products manufacturedProvide Quality Engineering support for in-process and final product acceptance as well as supporting Root Cause and Corrective Action ActivitiesCreate/Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and provide input to update them as appropriateEvaluate and report data while maintaining test documentation following internal company protocols and material ID systems, including collection and preparation of COC/COA for customersSupport the EnPower team to complete production tasks to meet production goalsSupport the measurement system analysis program and calibration activities to ensure equipment is appropriate and ready for useProvide direction and training to EnPower team for continuous improvement and corrective actionMaintain safe workplace practices and actively participate to correct any unsafe conditions or unsafe behaviors.Perform Process audits, including but not limited to startup/shutdown verification, Error proofing, first piece sampling, and release activities, issue resolution, equipment/process change documentationPerforms other duties as assignedQualificationsMinimum Bachelor or equivalent with 5 years of manufacturing experience in a quality engineering equivalent role. Preferred lithium-ion battery manufacturing or materials testing experienceFamiliarity with ISO 9001 quality management system, PDCA cycle, preferred experience internal auditing experienceExperience with measurement system analysis, including but not limited to calibration activities, R&R, SPC, capability, etc…Hands-on experience with basic metrology equipment; micrometers, DMM, Scales/Balances, calipers, and various other equipment for dimensional, electrical, and basic material analysisPreferred experience with safety, cleanliness, and contamination protocols, including but not limited clean room, dry room, and wet lab environmentsPreferred hands-on experience with mechanical, chemical, and electrochemical analysis equipment and methodsDetailed work ethic, close attention to detail, precise communication, and ability to manage scheduled deadlinesAbility to learn and become a subject matter expert to make informed decisionsCritical problem-solving skills: ability to ask the right people the right questions at the right timeAble to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. and perform the following for extended periods of time:Standing or sittingClimbing/squatting/walkingRepetitive motions and liftingAdditional InformationSelf-driven, independent, and capable of solving problemsPassionate about the work, the team, and the planetAbility to work in a diverse, intellectually challenging, and fast-paced environmentCreative, first-principles thinker ***Relocation costs will NOT be paid for this position; therefore preference will be given to those already located in the local region*** ***Calls, inquiries, or referrals will NOT be accepted from recruiters for this position***
