As a Material Handler, you’ll help ensure materials move efficiently through the warehouse while maintaining high standards for safety, quality, and organization.

What You’ll Do

• Operate stand-up and sit-down forklifts to move and organize materials safely

• Manage inventory using FIFO (first-in, first-out) practices to maintain product quality

• Use RF scanners and systems like SAP/Mapics to track orders and shipments accurately

• Pick, verify, and prepare orders while ensuring accuracy of items, quantities, and lot numbers

• Build and wrap pallets to ensure products are secure and shipment-ready

• Load trailers following established procedures to ensure on-time, accurate delivery

• Communicate inventory discrepancies and support resolution efforts

• Maintain a clean, organized warehouse aligned with GMP and safety standards

• Support multiple warehouse functions, including shipping, receiving, and inventory tasks

What You Bring

• Forklift experience (sit-down and stand-up) and a strong safety mindset

• 6–12 months of warehouse or material handling experience

• Ability to read and follow shipping documents and picklists

• Comfort using RF scanners, computers, and basic software tools (Excel, email, etc.)

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy

• Ability to stay organized and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment

• Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs frequently and up to 100 lbs occasionally

Bonus Skills:

• Experience in food manufacturing or GMP environments

• Familiarity with SAP, Mapics, or similar systems

• Strong communication skills and teamwork mindset

Work Environment

You’ll work in a clean, organized warehouse within a food production facility, where safety and quality are top priorities. The environment is structured and team-oriented, with clear processes that support success.

This is an active role where you’ll be on your feet, operating equipment, and collaborating with your team to keep operations running efficiently.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Elk Grove Village, IL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.50 - $20.50/hr.
