Position Overview: Chelsea Academy invites applications for a full-time Upper School teaching position combining History and Mathematics for the 2026-2027 academic year. The successful candidate will teach a range of courses in both disciplines and contribute to the vibrant intellectual and spiritual life of the school. Teaching Responsibilities • History Courses: o 6th Grade Ancient Christian and Medieval History o 7th Grade Modern European History o 8th Grade American History o 11th Grade Early Modern and Modern European History • Mathematics Courses: o Geometry o Precalculus Qualifications • A practicing Catholic in good standing with a deep commitment to the mission and identity of Chelsea Academy.

  • Bachelor's degree in History, Mathematics, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • Strong background in both humanities and mathematics, with the ability to integrate
disciplines within a liberal arts framework.
  • Commitment to the vision, mission, and Catholic identity of Chelsea Academy
  • Excellent communication, organization, and classroom management skills
  • Enthusiasm for mentoring students and participating in the broader life of the school.
  • A love of teaching and learning rooted in the Catholic intellectual tradition.
  • Ability to inspire students to think critically, reason logically, and appreciate the unity of
truth across disciplines. • Willingness to engage in the spiritual, cultural, and extracurricular life of the Academy, including retreats, service projects, and community events.
  • Ability to be flexible in a smaller-school environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and desire to work as a team player with teachers and staff.
  • Ability to plan strategically and maintain a focus on results.
