Location: On-site at 202 Prospect Dr, Glendive, MT 59330 Schedule: Full-Time Monday – Friday 8:00AM – 4:00PM Employment Type: Non-Exempt, Hourly (bi-weekly pay)

Position Overview

Glendive Medical Center is seeking a Surgical Environment Service Technician to maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment within Surgical Services and Outpatient Infusion. This role is responsible for cleaning, sanitizing, stocking supplies, and supporting infection prevention standards to ensure quality patient care.

Essential Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize surgical and outpatient areas according to established housekeeping, infection control, and AORN standards.
• Dust, mop, and disinfect floors and surfaces.
• Empty trash and properly dispose of hazardous materials, including sharps and chemotherapy waste.
• Clean and polish sinks, mirrors, wheelchairs, x-ray vests, stainless steel surfaces, windows, and other equipment.
• Restock tissue, soap, towels, and other supplies.
• Order, organize, and maintain cleaning supplies.
• Arrange equipment and furniture as needed.
• Perform area-specific cleaning tasks according to departmental guidelines.
• Preform additional duties as assigned

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to read, write, follow instructions, and maintain accurate records.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work effectively with staff throughout the organization.

Physical Requirements

• Lift up to 50 pounds and stand or walk for extended periods.
• Full range of motion with manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
• Vision and hearing corrected within normal range.
• Ability to work in a healthcare environment with potential exposure to communicable diseases, body fluids, hazardous substances, radiation, and medicinal preparations.

Work Environment

This position works in a healthcare environment and may be exposed to:

• Communicable diseases and body fluids.
• Hazardous cleaning agents and toxic substances.
• Ionizing radiation.
• Pharmaceutical and medicinal preparations.

Appropriate training and personal protective equipment will be provided.
