You will

• Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair electrical systems on-site: LV/MV switchgear, circuit breakers, transformers, and PLC controls.
• Run tests, interpret results, and perform corrective actions to minimize downtime.
• Commission new or upgraded systems and validate performance to spec.
• Be the customer’s primary technical contact during visits; explain findings clearly, provide basic training, and capture feedback.
• Document activities thoroughly—time, materials, test reports—using field service tools and ERP.
• Use remote diagnostic tools when feasible to resolve or triage issues faster.
• Work safely—always—aligned to OSHA and company protocols; keep safety training current.

You bring

• High school diploma or equivalent (required); associate’s in electrical engineering or related field (preferred).
• 3–5 years of field experience on power systems, electrical equipment, or industrial controls, including transformer and breaker troubleshooting.
• Diagnostic mindset, strong problem-solving, and customer-friendly communication.
• Comfort with field service management software, ERP systems, and Microsoft Excel/Word.
• Ability to work independently and juggle priorities in fast-paced settings.
• Plus points: LV/MV exposure; foundational PLCs, SCADA, and protective relay knowledge; NFPA 70E, OSHA 30, or similar certifications.

Where you’ll go

• Regional office: Sterling, VA.
• Daily/weekly regional travel to customer sites and internal field service locations.
• Occasional nationwide trips; overnights as needed.

Must-haves

• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Commitment to safety and customer satisfaction.
• Hands-on with multimeters, breaker test sets, and similar test gear.
