Details Work in the Medical/Surgical ICU, including burn and thermoregulation cases Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM) Patient ratio of 1:2-3 Every other weekend required Floating required Epic EMR experience required Requirements Active NY RN license required in hand Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required Previous charge nurse experience highly preferred Community hospital experience preferred Prior travel nursing experience required Skilled in IV therapy, arterial line management, blood product administration, central and PICC line care Experience titrating cardiac and vasoactive drips, and managing continuous IV sedation and paralytics Proficient in cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, and 12-lead EKG acquisition Experience with IV insulin protocols and infection prevention/isolation precautions Additional Information Provide critical care nursing services to medical and surgical ICU patients, including burn and thermoregulation cases Administer emergency medications and manage procedural sedation as needed Must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to qualify for travel rate First-time travelers may be considered Candidates with more than 10 days of requested time off will not be considered Previous employees may only return after a 6-month system-wide separation period American Traveler Job ID P-750828.
