Work Unit The Policy Innovations Unit within the Office of Innovations in Planning and Air Quality Data develops innovative strategies to achieve long-term air pollution goals. The unit engages with research projects, monitors data, and stays abreast of technological advances in monitoring air pollution. What You Will Do This position provides support to the execution of the EPA Climate Pollution Reduction Grant award by the Air Pollution Control Division. Responsibilities include monitoring and mitigating methane emissions, supporting subgrant program implementation, and assisting with grant-funded project responses. The position expires at the end of the grant period in September 2029. Support the monitoring and oversight of multiple subawardee contracts, including review of submittals, documentation of performance against quality requirements, and response to inquiries. Assist in the application and selection process for subawardees. Support reporting requirements associated with interagency agreements and contracts. Assist other APCD programs in understanding programmatic needs related to permit applications, compliance, and design plan proposals. Support the launch of a methane plume detection and response protocol. Analyze incoming data and project results. Develop periodic reporting materials as required by the grant and interagency agreements. Support contract monitoring activities as directed by supervisor. Attend meetings, serve on task forces or teams, support projects, and perform duties assigned by the supervisor. Conduct professional development activities, review technical literature, and attend in‑house and external training. Minimum Qualifications Five (5) years of experience in grant administration, compliance tracking, business development, project management, contract oversight, or similar. Preferred Qualifications Experience with the State of Colorado. Experience working on federal and EPA grants, including tracking, monitoring, reporting, and compliance. Experience working with subrecipients, contractors, vendors, and regulated entities. Experience collaborating with teams and agencies to advance common goals and improve processes. Skills in efficient data analysis and response proposal. Ability to manage multiple monitoring activities and deadlines with strong attention to detail. Commitment to collaboration and flexibility.
