In this role, you will work in a fast-paced, regulated pharmacy environment preparing, packaging, and distributing medications using advanced pharmacy automation and barcode-driven systems.As a Prescription Fulfillment Pharmacy Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring medication accuracy, patient safety, and compliance with pharmacy regulations while contributing to McKesson's mission of improving healthcare outcomes for patients nationwide.Responsibilities:Prepare, package, and distribute prescription medications using automated pharmacy systemsAccurately fill and verify prescriptions in accordance with pharmacy and regulatory standardsStock automated dispensing cells and manage inventory using barcode scanning technologyMaintain strict compliance with HIPAA, pharmacy laws, and internal safety protocolsMonitor prescription accuracy to support patient safety and quality standardsSupport daily production and fulfillment goals in a high-volume central fill environmentCollaborate with pharmacy team members to ensure efficient workflow and on-time order deliveryShift Schedule & Pay:2nd Shift: Monday–Friday, 2:00 PM–11:00 PM + every 3rd Saturday, 12:00 PM–8:30 PM | $19.95/hourBasic Requirements:High School Diploma or GEDActive Indiana Pharmacy Technician License or Indiana Pharmacy Technician In-Training LicenseMinimum 2 years of experience in pharmacy, healthcare operations, or a related regulated environmentPreferred Skills / Experience:PTCB (Pharmacy Technician Certification Board) Certification1+ year of experience as a Pharmacy Technician in retail, central fill, mail order, or hospital pharmacyExperience working in automated, high-volume pharmacy or healthcare logistics environmentsStrong computer skills, including pharmacy systems or inventory management softwarePrior experience with barcode scanning, order fulfillment, or warehouse operationsWork Environment, Physical & In-Office Requirements:On-site role in a centralized pharmacy fulfillment facilityAbility to stand and walk for up to 8+ hours per shiftAbility to lift up to 30 poundsFrequent bending, twisting, reaching, and repetitive motion requiredFast-paced, production-driven healthcare environmentWe are proud to offer a competitive compensation package at McKesson as part of our Total Rewards.
