Test Technician

Job Description PRIMARY FUNCTION Under the guidance of the Test Engineers and Manager, the position will support various processes across the floor within a contract manufacturing environment. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Testing products for safety, capacities, compliance, and performance. Examining and investigating specific aspects and components of products in question. Compiling reports on findings and testing data gathered. Providing recommendations and advice to relevant stakeholders. Maintaining lab and testing equipment regularly. Discussing findings with other team members. Implementing changes in testing protocols as required. Consulting with senior management about testing results. Reporting any issues through the appropriate channels. Recommending technical and procedural additions to test processes. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES n/a QUALIFICATIONS A minimum of an AA degree or certificate from a technical school preferred. At least 2 years of experience in lieu of an academic degree. EXPERIENCE 2+ years of direct experience working in automated assembly involving all or some of the following processes: SMT, through hole, adhesive dispense, automated assembly, ultrasonic welding. Hands on experience with optimizing processes and automated equipment Strong work ethic and drive to succeed. Ability to work in a fast paced, autonomously driven, and demanding start-up atmosphere. TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS Incumbent must be able to operate a computer and be Office proficient. Lift/carry 40lb. Stooping, bending, stretching, and reaching outward and over their head. This position may require extended periods of sitting, standing, and walking. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when necessary. May require travel (typically less than 5%). Associates will be required to take all appropriate training classes as required. Willingness to cross-train and be cross-trained.
