DSV is looking for a Branch Manager, Freight Brokerage to lead the operational and commercial performance of an assigned DSV Road branch. Duties & Responsibilities

• Lead and support branch operations to achieve financial, operational, service, and growth objectives.
• Provide day-to-day leadership, direction, coaching, and support to branch employees while fostering accountability, collaboration, and employee development.
• Build strong relationships with employees and create an approachable leadership environment that encourages communication, problem-solving, and teamwork.
• Own branch Profit & Loss (P&L) performance, including revenue growth, gross margin, expense management, and overall profitability.
• Identify and pursue opportunities to grow the branch through new business development, expansion of existing customer relationships, and increased market presence.
• Maintain an active, customer-facing presence and develop strong relationships with current and prospective customers.
• Partner with customers, carriers, and internal stakeholders to develop domestic transportation solutions that meet customer requirements and business objectives.
• Apply knowledge of domestic freight brokerage, carrier markets, capacity, pricing, and customer needs to support effective business decisions.
• Establish clear performance expectations, monitor results, provide feedback, and address performance concerns when necessary.
• Analyze operational and financial metrics to identify trends, improve productivity, enhance service, and support profitable growth.
• Support employee development through regular communication, coaching, feedback, and identification of growth opportunities.
• Partner with regional and corporate leadership on branch objectives, business opportunities, and strategic initiatives.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with carriers and other business partners to support service performance and capacity needs.
• Promote a culture of accountability, teamwork, continuous improvement, customer service, and operational excellence.
• Monitor freight market conditions, customer trends, and competitive activity to identify opportunities and risks impacting the branch.
• Lead branch meetings and participate in operational and commercial planning activities.
• Support branch staffing, hiring, onboarding, employee engagement, and retention efforts.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, customer requirements, regulatory standards, and applicable transportation industry practices.
• Support special projects, business initiatives, and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, Transportation, or a related field preferred; an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be considered.
• 1 to 3 years of experience in domestic freight brokerage, with hands-on knowledge of brokerage operations, customers, carriers, pricing, capacity, and freight markets.
• 2 to 4 years of people management experience, including experience providing leadership, coaching, feedback, performance management, and employee development.
• Demonstrated ability to build relationships, influence others, take ownership, and contribute beyond individual responsibilities.
• Experience supporting business development, customer growth, account expansion, or other commercial activities preferred.
• Exposure to financial and operational performance metrics, including revenue, gross margin, productivity, or profitability.
• Experience working in a fast-paced, customer-focused domestic transportation or brokerage environment.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to use a computer, telephone, and other standard office equipment for extended periods. The employee is frequently required to communicate and exchange information verbally, in writing, and through electronic means.

The position requires the ability to review financial reports, operational data, customer information, and other documentation on computer screens and in written formats. The employee may occasionally be required to move about the office or other business environments, reach, bend, and lift and/or move office materials weighing up to 15 pounds.

Work Environment

This position is primarily performed in a professional office environment with regular use of computers, telecommunications equipment, Transportation Management Systems (TMS), CRM platforms, and other standard business technology. The role operates in a fast-paced freight brokerage environment and requires regular interaction and collaboration with employees, customers, carriers, regional and corporate leadership, and other business partners. The work may involve multiple competing priorities, customer and carrier needs, changing market conditions, operational issues, and time-sensitive business decisions.

Travel to customer locations, other DSV locations, operational facilities, and business meetings may be required based on business needs. Standard business hours are expected, with flexibility to work additional hours as needed to support branch operations, customers, and business requirements. The noise level in the primary office environment is generally consistent with a professional office setting and may vary based on surrounding business activity.

For this position, the expected base pay range is $104,500.00 – $130,500.00 Annual. Actual compensation will be determined based on job-related factors such as relevant experience, skills, education, certifications, and geographic location, in accordance with applicable laws and company policy. This position is eligible for a performance-based bonus program.
