Cath Lab Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Cath Lab Registered Nurse (RN) to join our dedicated team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cardiac care and experience in both diagnostic and interventional procedures in the Cath Lab, including structural interventions.

Key Responsibilities

Provide safe and effective nursing care to patients undergoing cardiac catheterization procedures.
Monitor patient conditions and react promptly to changes in status.
Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
Assist in achieving optimal outcomes through the preparation, administration, and monitoring of medications, including sedation.
Educate patients and their families regarding procedures, care, and follow-up.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records using Cerner electronic charting.

Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in West Virginia required; pending licenses will be accepted but an active license must be obtained prior to starting.
A minimum of 2 years of RN experience with at least 1 year of experience specifically in the Cath Lab.
Competency in all aspects of Cath Lab procedures, including both diagnostic and interventional practices.
ARRT registration is required.
Ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team.

Work Schedule

This position is for a day shift schedule of 4x10 hours, from 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM. The RN will be required to be on call for 2-3 weekday nights and rotate weekend call every 4-5 weeks.

Additional Information

No floating outside the Cath Lab will be required; the nurse will primarily stay within this specialty area.
Free parking is provided for staff and travelers.
Scrub colors will be provided as part of the position's requirements.
Guaranteed hours of 36 per week.
