Radiology Student Intern PRN

Responsibilities Prepare patients for imaging by obtaining histories, verifying identities, and assisting with positioning and communicating clearly and compassionately. Safely transport patients between areas, supporting their comfort and emotional needs during procedures. Set up imaging rooms, manage turnover, and organize supplies to maintain a clean, safe, and efficient environment. Serve as a vital connection between patients, technologists, and the care team by communicating needs and concerns promptly. Take ownership of your growth by participating in learning opportunities and following safety and confidentiality standards. Assists Radiographers with general patient care, obtains clinical histories from charts, assists patients on and off the table, assists with moving and positioning patients, assists with handling of film plates; uploads images into PACS verifying proper exposure parameters, clears dirty linen and puts clean on beds and stretchers, cleans rooms, makes entries into Meditech & PACS completing exam tracking and entering exam notes, performs clerical tasks as needed, assists with maintaining supplies, transports patients as necessary. Qualifications Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date. High School Graduate / GED. Must be in the second year of an approved Radiographer program.
