Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a 30-bed Medical Surgical unit managing a caseload of up to 1:7 patients
• Care for patients with common diagnoses including CHF, COPD, cellulitis, pneumonia, urosepsis, AKI, and post-surgical conditions
• Titrate heparin drips based on aPTT results as directed by physician orders
• Monitor and manage patients on intermittent BiPAP as needed
• Collaborate with PCTs and monitor technicians who provide remote telemetry oversight
• Float to other units as needed based on census, per facility floating policy

Required Qualifications

• Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license; any licensing hits must be disclosed at time of submission
• Current BLS certification (must be unexpired)
• Current NIHSS certification (must be unexpired)
• Ability to manage patient ratios of up to 1:7
• Comfort working with telemetry monitored remotely by monitor technicians
• Must meet facility radius compliance requirements; valid unexpired driver's license required at submission

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience in a Medical Surgical setting with high-acuity diagnoses such as urosepsis, AKI, or post-surgical care
• Experience titrating heparin drips and interpreting aPTT results
• Familiarity with Qgenda scheduling platform
