PURPOSE AND SCOPE:

The PT Career Coach, Career Services supports the delivery ofcareer services to students by providing career coaching,administering career assessments, and contributing tocareer-related programming and events aligned with students' careerdecision-making pathways. This position tracks studentparticipation and service data and provides input to the planningand continuous improvement of career support programs andevents.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Provides career coaching to assist students in exploring careeroptions, setting goals, and making informed career decisions Administers career exploration assessments and assists studentsin understanding and interpreting results Maintains accurate documentation of services and collects datarelevant to career services Assists directors/managers in planning and supporting academicand career-related communication, programming, and events Collaborates with personnel across campus departments tosupport the integration of career awareness and readiness intocampus life Monitors processes and materials, ensuring accuracy andcompliance with all relevant rules, regulations, and policies Collects and tracks student data to support delivery ofrelevant career services Delivers presentations on career services on campus Refers students to appropriate campus resources and communityorganizations as needed Responsible for other reasonable, related duties asassigned

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

High level of customer service and communication skills Strong attention to accuracy and detail Proficiency in the use of general office and softwareapplications Ability to prepare reports and to analyze data Possess excellent organizational skills and ability toprioritize multiple responsibilities

PHYSICAL ABILITIES:

The work is sedentary. Typically, the employee sits comfortably todo the work. However, there may be some walking; standing; bending;carrying of light items, such as papers, books, or small parts; ordriving an automobile. No special physical demands are required toperform the work.

WORK SCHEDULE AND CONDITIONS:

Equipment used includes, PC workstation running on a LAN in aMicrosoft Windows environment, calculator, phone, and other generaloffice equipment Interface with internal and external contacts as needed tocarry out the functions of the position Work is performed in a climate-controlled office with minimalexposure to safety hazards

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
