Job Summary: In this role, you will operate diagnostic imaging equipment to produce contrast-enhanced radiographs of blood vessels, aiding physicians in diagnosing and treating diseases. You will work with fluoroscopy to assist in visualizing guide wires or catheters and monitor video displays to ensure optimal image quality. Your responsibilities include preparing and checking sterile supplies, driving efficiency in the workflow, and maintaining sterile techniques. Key Responsibilities: Demonstrate comprehensive competence in special procedures, including patient positioning and surgical assistance. Provide care to patients of all ages: pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric. Ensure timely patient initiation, optimizing room turnaround time in the Special Procedures Department. Utilize computer systems effectively for scheduling, tracking exams, and capturing charges. Follow strict infection control and universal precautions, maintaining cleanliness and safety. Care for existing IVs and may assist in administering specific medications under physician guidance. Additional Functions: Access and handle radiopharmaceuticals and contrast agents as required for procedures. Participate in training new employees and students and engage in ongoing education. Maintain professionalism in all interactions with peers, medical staff, and patients. Contribute to the quality improvement initiatives within the Radiology Department. Support the mission of the Methodist Healthcare System and exemplify excellent customer service. Adhere to safety policies and regulations, ensuring the well‑being of yourself and others. Complete additional duties as assigned. Qualifications: Basic Cardiac Life Support certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date. ARRT‑R Certification in Radiography.
