The Manager will oversee staff and operations, focusing on production efficiency, process flow, production control, shift scheduling, employee hiring and training, and general troubleshooting. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Manage and direct production activities in a machining environment, coordinating part production and ensuring machines are repaired and running smoothly. Provide operational responsibility for safety, delivery, productivity, staffing, scrap, and other key metrics. Strategically lead business and operational goals and initiatives. Establish budgets and strategic plans to achieve division objectives. Build a culture of continuous improvement via Lean Six Sigma. Drive operational excellence and standardization. Partner with supply chain to accelerate operational performance. Proactively analyze operational metrics, driving process improvements in manufacturing, customer service, supply chain, and sourcing. Determine business impact from operational metrics and make recommendations to the business unit. Work with current and potential customers to promote and leverage company products and services. Ensure Lean initiatives are embraced and implemented throughout the operation. Maintain adequate inventory, production control scheduling, and shipping/receiving logistics. Develop a budget plan and manage operations within budget constraints. Maintain familiarity with the competitive environment within the geographical area of responsibility. Drive a culture of accountability and results through strategic deployment and performance management. Perform all other duties as assigned. Must be on-site 5 days at the Tolleson, AZ location. Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in a technical or business discipline is preferred. Minimum of seven years operations management experience in the Aerospace industry with budgetary and P&L responsibility in a low-volume, high-mix machining and assembly/test operation. Strong metrics/results-driven methodology; personal culture of Lean and continuous improvement. Financial, budgeting, and strategic planning knowledge and experience. Demonstrated ability to organize and manage multiple priorities using effective problem solving and resolution skills and a team focus. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to effectively and persuasively present information to management, customers, and employees. ITAR This role involves access to technical data and/or hardware subject to U.S. export control laws and regulations, including the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and the Export Administration Regulations (EAR). Physical Demands Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk, working on a computer, and attending meetings. Must be able to access and navigate the production facility. Frequent occasions of standing and walking. Clear vision, including close vision, distance vision, and depth perception, is required for tasks such as reading reports, observing production lines, and interacting with equipment. May be exposed to noise levels that can be distracting or uncomfortable. May require lifting up to 50 lbs on occasion.
