Full-Time Cleaning/Housekeeping

STARTING DATE: TBD SALARY: Appropriate step on the Classified Salary Schedule/Column II commensurate with experience and training REPORTS TO: Cleaning Coordinator BENEFITS: Hospitalization, dental, vision, prescription, and term life insurance; up to three approved personal leave days per year, sick leave, tuition reimbursement, and attendance incentives WORK WEEK/YEAR: As per Board-adopted calendar 3rd shift during school year 1st shift during summer MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: High school diploma or equivalent Knowledge of cleaning techniques and materials Ability to operate a variety of cleaning equipment and machines including stripping machine, power washer, fan, scrubbers, ladders, waxing machines and vacuum cleaners Available to work a variety of shifts Ability to handle multiple tasks Strong work ethic Ability to work in a team environment Able to lift objects weighing 50 pounds Ability to push and pull items weighing up to 200 lbs. on wheels Excellent physical condition Self-motivated, self-directed Able to pass criminal background check Able to read and understand verbal and written instructions, written warnings and labels DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS: Some basic computer skills "The Lorain County Joint Vocational School District does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin, sex, disability or age in its programs and activities, and provides equal access to the Boy Scouts and other designated youth groups."
