Role Description

The Staff Accountant is responsible for billing, maintaining general ledger accounts, and managing accounting receivable companies across PLTFRM.

Recording weekly treasury transactions as assigned
Reconcile bank accounts and credit card statements
Performing monthly billing procedures
Review transactions for accuracy
Investigating and resolving accounting discrepancies
Identify past-due accounts receivable and contact delinquent customers
Record customer payments and transactions accurately
Assist with gathering support for the annual audit
Assist with payroll management (i.e. payroll processing, setting up new employees and state withholding accounts)
Inbox management

Qualifications

A degree in Accounting
At least 1-2 years of overall accounting experience
At least 1 year of service business operational accounting experience
Ability to collaborate with a team
Comfortable in a high-growth environment
Strong understanding of services businesses
A passion for leveraging systems and driving process improvements
Experience with full close-cycle accounting
Experience in QBO and related software tools
Strong working knowledge of Excel
High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
