The Assistant Production Manager is responsible for managing the pre-production process from signed contract through approved shop drawings, required LPC approvals, and final handoff to Procurement. This position ensures that project information is complete, accurate, properly communicated, and progressing according to Window and Door Pro's established production milestones.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review all executed contracts and identify any "To Be Determined" (TBD) items, missing information, or project-specific requirements.
• Coordinate with the Sales Team to obtain outstanding information and resolve contract deficiencies.
• Prepare completed project packages and submit them to the Order Verifier for review.
• Review Project Manager notes and project documentation to understand project scope, requirements, and potential issues.
• Develop and prepare the Drafter's Scope of Work Form for each project.
• Determine required drafting time and manage the Shop Drawing Priority List based on project requirements, urgency, and production timelines.
• Develop, track, and manage Drafting Department KPIs, including turnaround times, revisions, workload, accuracy, and milestone performance.
• Ensure established project timelines and internal production milestones are consistently met or exceeded.
• Develop, create, organize, and maintain a comprehensive CAD Library for the Drafting Team, including standardized window and door details, manufacturer-specific profiles, installation conditions, typical details, hardware, accessories, and other commonly used drafting components.
• Continuously improve the CAD Library to increase drafting efficiency, standardize drawing quality, reduce repetitive drafting work, and minimize errors and revisions.
• Own and manage the distribution of Window and Door Pro Milestone Letters throughout the project lifecycle.
• Schedule and coordinate Customer Page-Turn Meetings to review shop drawings, address questions, confirm selections, and obtain required shop drawing sign-offs.
• Serve as Window and Door Pro's LPC Submission Provider, coordinating required Landmark Preservation Commission submissions and supporting documentation.
• Communicate LPC requirements, submission status, approvals, and anticipated timelines to internal teams and external customers.
• Ensure approved project packages are complete and properly handed off to Procurement for product ordering.
• Work closely with the General Manager to improve contract quality and ensure the Sales Team is consistently producing complete, accurate, and production-ready contracts.
