Location 1762 Hwy 90 E,Ste. 101,Castroville, TX, 78009,United States The Physician Assistant (PA-C) provides high - quality, patient - centered medical care in a fast - paced urgent care setting. The PA independently evaluates, diagnoses, and treats a wide range of acute conditions, performs procedures, orders and interprets diagnostics, and ensures excellent clinical documentation and patient satisfaction. Key Responsibilities Clinical Care Evaluate and treat patients of all ages for urgent/acute medical conditions. Perform procedures including (but not limited to) laceration repair, I&D, splinting, wound care, burn care, foreign body removal. Order and interpret X-rays, EKGs, point-of-care tests, and lab work. Prescribe medications in accordance with state and federal guidelines. Manage occupational medicine cases and complete required documentation. Collaborate with MAs, X-ray techs, and administrative staff to maintain clinic flow. Communicate diagnoses and treatment plans clearly. Provide education regarding medications, aftercare, and follow-up. Maintain high levels of patient satisfaction through efficient and compassionate care. Team & Operational Support Participate in staff meetings, clinical training, and quality improvement initiatives. Assist in onboarding and mentoring new providers as needed. Support workflow needs during peak volumes. Requirements Qualifications Required Master’s degree from an accredited PA program. Current PA license in the state of Texas. Ability to independently provide urgent/acute care services. Preferred 1+ years of urgent care, emergency medicine, or primary care experience..
