Description: The Obstetrical Technician functions as a member of a team dedicated to supporting the highest quality care and service to patients, physicians, and other associates. As an integral part of the team, the Obstetrical Technician is responsible for scrubbing for and assisting in various types of surgical procedures. The technician provides the necessary instrumentation, supplies, and equipment for operations. The Obstetrical Technician assists in nursing care activities under the direction of the Registered Nurse. This role supports the Labor and Delivery department and is essential for ensuring safe patient care and meeting the daily needs of the unit. The Certified Surgical Technician performs the duties of a scrub technician and provides direct patient care. Additionally, the technician stocks the operating rooms, labor rooms, triage, and post-anesthesia care units. Cancellation policy requires no call-offs and a 14-day written cancellation notice. The charting system used is EPIC.
