The Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) and Tidelands Health are seeking a Certified Nurse Midwife to join a growing community-based practice in Murrells Inlet, South Carolina. This role is an employed position within MUSC Health and practices within the Tidelands Health system to serve Georgetown and Horry Counties, the second fastest growing region in the country.

We are our region’s MUSC Health affiliate. Tidelands Health is dedicated to keeping the communities we serve healthy and active, inside, and outside of the hospital. Required Qualifications:

• Board-certified Certified Nurse Midwife

• Eligible for medical license in South Carolina

Position Highlights:

• Full-time inpatient/outpatient practice opportunity due to volume growth

• Well-respected, established program with 11 OB/GYNs, two urogynecologists and nine advanced practice providers, including six certified nurse midwives

• Two acute-care hospitals and four outpatient practices – labor and delivery coverage is only at our Tidelands Waccamaw Community Hospital

• Midwives take first call

• Modern facilities, including a Level II nursery

• First hospital in South Carolina to hold advanced certification in perinatal care from The Joint Commission; designated Baby-Friendly by the World Health Organization and UNICEF
