Data Analyst

Talascend is currently seeking a Data Analyst for a contract opportunity with our client in Santa Ana, California .


Overview


The Data Analyst will be responsible for data mining, extraction, analysis, and reporting related to warehouse operational metrics and supply chain environments. The role involves developing dashboards, automating reports, and supporting business decisions through detailed analysis.


Responsibilities

• Perform data mining, extraction, manipulation, and analysis from multiple sources
• Create and maintain reports including daily, weekly, and monthly analysis of key performance indicators
• Design and automate reports and dashboards using BI tools
• Validate data accuracy and collaborate with teams to resolve discrepancies
• Support decision-making by providing in-depth analysis and recommendations
• Identify opportunities for performance improvement
• Develop models to aid business decisions
• Ensure timely and accurate report generation with high data quality standards

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business analytics, engineering, mathematics, accounting, or related field
• MUST be bilingual in English and Korean
• Minimum 3 years of experience in data analysis within logistics, distribution, warehouse, or supply chain environments
• High proficiency in MS Excel, SQL, Access, PowerPoint, and BI tools
• Experience with SAP and warehouse management systems (WMS)
• Strong analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and handle multiple projects
• Results-driven with attention to detail
• Demonstrated ability to perform duties through relevant experience, training, or education

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with process certifications such as Six Sigma, CMMI, or ITIL
• Proficiency in Tableau or other data visualization tools
• Knowledge of data modeling and report automation
