Join us to drive positive, lasting change that moves missions and the government forward!The Senior Systems Administrator oversees the management, security, and optimization of a mixed Windows and RedHat Linux environment hosted in AWS. This role requires an experienced technical leader who can operate independently, guide junior administrators, and serve as the primary escalation point for complex issues. The position is fully onsite in Crystal City, VA, five days per week.The Work:Administer and maintain Windows and RHEL systems across AWS, including server provisioning, patching, and compliance (STIG)Manage backup, restore, and disaster recovery strategies and ensure infrastructure resilienceOversee user and permission management (RBAC, AD, ACLs, auditing) and enforce privilege management best practicesPerform advanced troubleshooting, network analysis, and performance optimization within the AWS environmentDrive security hardening, documentation, and adherence to compliance frameworksCreate and maintain technical documentation and collaborate closely with Cyber SecurityAutomate operational tasks using Bash, PowerShell, and related scripting toolsHere's What You Need:Active Secret clearanceBachelor's degree5+ years of hands-on systems administration experienceProficient in both Linux and AWS administrationProven experience with security control assessment and remediationCompTIA Security+ (or equivalent) requiredOn-site requirement: 5 days/week, Crystal City, VABonus If You Have:Experience with DISA STIGs, POA&Ms, and the ATO processSecurity Clearance Requirements:Active Secret clearance with ability to obtain SSBIThe pay range for the states of California, Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York, Vermont, Virginia, Washington, and the District of Columbia, and the city of Cleveland is:$78,600 - $160,200 USDEqual Employment Opportunity Statement We believe that no one should be discriminated against because of their differences.
